Bio

There are two primary paths to the voiceover world: radio and theater. Ian's career began on-the-air in radio, but with his background in school musicals and dramas, you might say he travelled both paths.

Ian discovered early in his radio career that creating commercials was more interesting to him than whose birthday it was (listener, artist, etc.) and who was the umpteenth caller. Seeing his interest, the station sales people began asking him for help with their top clients. Some of these spots aired on other stations, too. This generated checks for Ian. A freelance career was born.

Ian left radio for full time voice work in 1989 and has never looked back. These days, he serves more than a hundred clients each year, including production companies, ad agencies, large corporations, small local companies, radio and television stations, multimedia authors, and recording studios. Many are loyal customers who have been dealing with Ian for years. They find him easy to work with and genuinely interested in their success.

Projects range from commercials and narrations to voicemail systems, interactive computer- and web-based training programs, and on-hold voices. Look over the rest of the site and contact Ian to talk about your next project.
